13.04.2005 - Juventus 0-0 Liverpool
Liverpool recorded a famous result in Turin tonight, to send them into their first European Cup semi final for two decades.
With Steven Gerrard ruled out through injury, the Reds showed once again that they're far from a one man team, and did enough to send one of the tournament favourites crashing out with a performance which made the hosts look quite average.
Jerzy Dudek was forced into only routine saves, and only once in each half did Juventus come close to scoring the goal which would have taken them through to a semi final against Chelsea.
Ibrahimovich fired over from ten yards out early in the first half, following a dangerous cross behind the Red's defence by Zambrotta, and in the second half, Cannavaro came close from a similar position to that from he scored Juve's consolation goal in the 2-1 defeat at Anfield two weeks earlier, though this time he saw the header strike the outside of the post.
Milan Baros wasted Liverpool best opportunity shortly after the interval when he shot wide with only Buffon to beat, but it wasn't to prove costly, as the Reds held on to win 2-1 on aggregate.
