12.08.2004 - Cisse back in France squad for Bosnia friendly

Djibril Cisse could make his first appearance for the French national side since last October, after being recalled the the squad for next Wednesday's friendly against Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Cisse was a regular member of the French before he was handed a 4 match International ban after being sent off for France under-21's in their Euro 2004 play-off with Portugal last year.

The ban meant that he was set to miss almost the entire Euro 2004 tournament, and he was therefore played no part in France's friendlies which were oganised as preparation for the competition.

But Cisse has been handed an instant return to the squad, and he could line up alongside Thierry Henry, who is also included.

Patrick Vieira will captain Les Bleu's for the game, after the retirement of Marcel Desailly following Euro 2004.
