06.07.2004 - Baros named in all-star squad
Milan Baros has been selected in the Euro 2004 all-star squad by UEFA, after his impressive performances in the competition.
The Czech Republic star and winner of the Golden Boot after scoring 5 goals, was one of 23 players chosen, which included Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo and also two of his Czech teammates Petr Cech and Pavel Nedved.
Tournament winners Greece had five representatives in the squad, though despite being knocked out in the quarter finals, England boasted four names, with Ashley Cole, Sol Campbell, Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney all included.
Baros missed out on the player of the tournament award though, with Greek captain Theodoros Zagarakis collecting the award which saw him follow in the footsteps of previous winners Peter Schmeichel, Alan Shearer and Zinedine Zidane.
