24.01.2004 - Liverpool v Newcastle: team news
In what has promied to be the tie of the FA Cup 4th round, Liverpool take on Newcastle at Anfield this evening.
Steven Gerrard should play his first game at Anfield since Boxing Day after featuring in the previous two games following his return from injury.
Kirkland, Baros, Smicer and Sinama-Pongolle all miss the game due to injuries, while Diouf and Diao are both away on Internatioanl duty with Senegal in the African Nations Cup.
Newcastle are likely to be unchanged from the side which convincingly beat Fulham in the Premiership on Monday, as they aim to get a first win at Anfield since 1995, when a Steve Watson goal won a Coca-Cola Cup tie for the Magpies.
Since then, Newcastle have lost on almost every visit, with last year's 2-2 draw the only occasion that the North East club have gone home with anything from the game.
News of the game will be added tonight, along with news of other games in the 4th round.
