09.01.2004 - Reds' keeper crisis eases as Jones signs
Southampton keeper Paul Jones has been signed on a month's loan to ease Liverpool's goalkeeping problems.
With Chris Kirkland out with a broken finger and Jerzy Dudek picking up a groin strain at Chelsea which may keep him out of action until February, Gerard Houllier was forced to admit after tha game that he may require a temporary addition to the squad whilst waiting for Kirkland and Dudek to return.
And the Reds boss has acted quickly to bring in Jones, who has been out of favour at Southampton since Antti Niemi returned to the side.
The experienced 'keeper has described the move as 'a dream come true', and he could make his debut tomorrow at Anfield.
