29.09.2003 - Henchoz, Murphy line up for reserves

A strong Liverpool reserve team will line up at the Deva Stadium tonight, for the first 'mini-derby' of the season.

Stephane Henchoz will start the match as he continues his recovery from the ankle injury which has kept him out of first team action for over a month, and the Swiss defender will be aiming to complete most of the match in a bid to convince Gerard Houllier that he is firt enough for a first team return.

Danny Murphy and Anthony Le Tallec are also involved despite both players making substitute appearances in the defeat to Charlton yesterday.

Everton will field a number of their own first team players, with Linderoth and Li Tie both taking part in the match, but the strikeforce of Kevin Campbell and Francis Jeffers will be of most interest to Everton fans, with the the pair lining up alongside each other for the first time since Jeffers left Everton to join Arsenal.

The kick off time for the match is 7pm.

Liverpool: Luzi, Otsemobor, Whitbread, Henchoz, Traore, Diao, Murphy, Welsh, Sinama-Pongolle, Le Tallec, Partridge.
