Anthony Le Tallec will make his first competitive Liverpool start tonight in Ljubljana, in the Reds' first round first leg match.

Steven Gerrard is rested from the team ahead of a tough trip to Charlton on Saturday to make way for the French youngster, and with El Hadji Diouf suspended, Danny Murphy is also added to the midfield.

Salif Diao starts at right back, with Finnan on the bench alongside Gerrard, Henchoz, Finnan, Traore, Sinama-Pongolle, Welsh and Patrice Luzi.
