27.08.2003 - Heskey and Henchoz doubtful for Spurs visit
Emile Heskey and Stephane Henchoz could both miss tonight's Premiership match against Tottenham due to injury.
Henchoz picked up an ankle injury in the 0-0 draw with Aston Villa, with Heskey brought off early in the same match. The chances of either player making tonight's squad is said to be doubtful, which could see Steve Finnan and Vladimir Smicer start their first games of the new season.
Smicer has been out of action since the Amsterdam Tournament, while Finnan has yet to play a full 90 minutes since he underwent a hernia operation in May.
Should Henchoz miss out, Carragher is the most likely replacement for him at centre back, with Finnan being added to the side in his favoured right back position. Smicer meanwhile, could replace Heskey with Kewell playing up front alongside Owen and Smicer filling in for Kewell in the Reds' midfield.
Liverpool have lost just once in their last 5 meetings with Spurs, and they will be aiming to keep their good record against Spurs going with another victory at Anfield tonight.
Uriah Rennie will take charge of the game, having not refereed a Liverpool match since the Reds last played tonight's opponents, a game which Liverpool won 3-2 at White Hart Lane.
