21.07.2003 - Kewell to miss far east tour
Harry Kewell has been ruled out of Liverpool's tour of the Far East after picking up an ankle injury in the Reds' draw with Crewe at the weekend.
Kewell was withdrawn just before half time after taking a knock on his left ankle, and scan results showed that the Aussie had suffered damaged ligaments which could keep the player out of action for up to two weeks.
One of Liverpool's other new signings, Steve Finnan, had already been ruled out of the trip as he is still recovering from a hernia operation which he underwent earlier in the summer.
Both players are now hoping to be fit in time to take part in the Amsterdam tournament.
