12.05.2003 - Murphy voted 2002/3 Player of the Season

Danny Murphy has won the LFC-1 player of the season after topping the recent poll carried out visitors of the site.

Murphy picked up almost 33% of the votes, with Michael Owen just behind in second place. Steven Gerrard, with just over 10% of the votes was third in the poll.

The Chester born Liverpool midfielder is the third different winner in the four years since the creation of the site, with John Arne Riise voted last year's player of the season, following wins for Sami Hyypia in 2000 and 2001.
