Stephane Henchoz is unlikely to play again for Liverpool this season after he failed to feature in Liverpool's reserve game at Sunderland this week.

Henchoz has not played since the Worthington Cup Final and Gerard Houllier is not intending to rush him back into action, as Liverpool enter their most crucial stage of the season.

Houllier said: "Unfortunately, I don't think he will be available again before the end of the season. There's no point rushing him back. We have three important games left to play and he won't be ready. Djimi Traore has played very well in his position and will continue."
