12.03.2003 - Agathe out but Larsson set to return for Celtic

Celtic's Didier Agathe was yesterday ruled out of action for up to 6 weeks, after scans revealed that he had suffered a torn hamstring in last weekend's Old Firm derby.

Agathe was hoping to be fit to face Liverpool tomorrow, and the injury is bad news for Celtic going into the 'Battle of Britain'.

"It is an absolutely massive blow for us and there is no doubt that we could have done with him against Liverpool on Thursday night," said Celtic boss Martin O'Niell.

There was also some good news for The Bhoys though, as Henrik Larsson completed a training session and now looks certain to start the game against Liverpool tomorrow evening.

Larsson has been sidelined for over a month after breaking his jaw in three places but the striker, who has netted over 30 times already this season, is expected to line up against Sami Hyypia and co when the teams meet at Celtic Park for the first leg.
