Steven Gerrard has this afternoon been charged with violent conduct, following his two footed challenge on Gary Naysmith in last month's Merseyside Derby.
Gerrard has 14 days to respond to the charge, and Gerard Houllier has already indicated that the club may request a personal hearing.
Should Gerrard be found guilty, he will be given a three match ban.
