Steven Gerrard is back in the squad for Spurs' visit to Anfield this afternoon. Gerrard has recovered from the hip injury which he picked up whilst on International duty, and which has kept him out of Liverpool's last two games.
Bruno Cheyrou could also return to the team following his absence fromt he squad in Moscow due to injury, while Vladimir Smicer and Markus Babbel both played an hour of Liverpool's reserve game at home to Newcastle on Thursday and are likely to be on the bench.
Les Ferdinand returns to the Spurs squad, while Jamie Redknapp should be in the starting line up for his first return to Anfield since joining Spurs at the end of last season.
Liverpool have won the last 6 home games against Spurs, who havent won at Anfield in the league since 1993/94 but arrive on Merseyside in 3rd place in the league after enjoying their best start to a Premiership season, but after the Reds went top last weekend, Gerard Houllier's men will be hoping to collect another win which will ensure that Liverpool remain top for at least another week.
