Salif Diao has finally arrived at Anfield to complete his transfer from Sedan to Liverpool.

The Senegalese midfielder signed after the World Cup, after Liverpool agreed a deal for the player at the end of May. Diao was originally expected to return to Sedan on loan until mid-December, but following the injury to Steve Gerrard last week, the player was brought to Merseyside four months early.

Diao's fee is reportedly between £4m and £5m.
