Jamie Redknapp today left Liverpool to sign for Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer. Redknapp has been battling against injury for much of the last few years, but after seeing Steven Gerrard and Dietmar Hamann make the midfield places their own, Redknapp chose to join Spurs to begin his comeback to first team football, ending an 11 year spell with the Reds.

Liverpool travel to Tottenham a week on Saturday, but due to him signing after the transfer dealine, Redknapp will not be eligible to play in the Premiership until the start of next season.
