Phil Thompson has once again praised Nicolas Anelka today, but Liverpool are still to decide whether to make a bid to bring Anelka to Anfield permanently. According to reports, Gerard Houllier is also keen on signing Auxerre forward Djibril Cisse, who is currently the most in demand young striker in the world, and is also said to be in favour of a move to Liverpool, rather than signing for one of the other clubs who are scouting him which include Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and Man United.

PSG are rumoured to have slapped a £10Million asking price on Anelka, while Auxerre are likely to demand at least £15Million for Cisse.
