Michael Owen has been ruled out of tonight's vital Champions League match according to reports in the Liverpool Echo. Owen has been struggling to recover from a hamstring injury which he picked up in the match with Newcastle. With Nicolas Anelka cup tied, Liverpool are likely to field the same forward line as that which faced Barcelona last week. Dietmar Hamann is suspended.

Roma are without Cafu, who is suspended, and may rest at least one key player, with Roma keeping one eye on their top of the table clash with Inter Milan at the weekend.
