Nick Barmby could return to the starting line up for this top of the table clash at Anfield tonight. Barmby made his first team comeback at Fulham on Saturday when he came on as a sub. Steven Gerrard is still injured though, although is expected to be fit to face Barcelona in a week's time.

Newcastle are still without Kieron Dyer and Craig Bellamy, and Carl Cort could be given a start up front.
